This is a review of The Flame by Christopher Rice. It is a M/M/F menage romance.
This
was the first book I have read by Christopher Rice. This was his first foray into erotic romance. I really enjoyed
this book. If he sticks with this genre I will definitely read more
books by him. The characters were very well developed. I loved the
connection between them. Mr. Rice made me feel as if I was experiencing
every emotion that his characters were feeling. I love reading a book
and feeling like I have been sucked into the story. A major pet peeve of
mine is grammatical and spelling errors due to poor editing in any book
I read. I am pleased to say I did not notice any errors of this type in
this book. I was so blown away by the high quality writing in this book I highly recommend this book.
This story revolves around Cassidy Burke, her husband Andrew and her gay best friend Shane. The three shared a very intimate act during Mardi Gras and Cassidy can't get it out of her mind. Andrew dreams of dominating bot Cassidy and Shane.Shane wants to belong to both Cassidy and Andrew. Cassidy ends up meeting a very mysterious shop keeper that makes candles. He gives her a candle and tells her to light it at the scene of where her greatest desire took place and it will come true. Cassidy lights the candle. She also returns home and Shane ends up coming over and he is invited into Cassidy and Andrew's bed. There is a very intense emotional love scene and the three lovers decide to pursue a relationship together.
