This is a review of Demon Bonded by Sadie Sins. I have chosen to review all of these stories together because they are all very short reads approximately around 40 pages each. These stories include multiple love scenes between 2 male lovers, one M/M/M love scene, multiple lovers, demons, dealings with the occult, violence, graphic language. If you are offended by any of these this series is not for you.
They must be read in order.
Episode 1: Demon Bonded: Something Waiting in the Dark
Episode 2: Demon Bonded: Breathing Under the Bed
Episode 3: Demon Bonded:The Killer Wardrobe
Episode 4: Demon Bonded: Magnificent Night
We meet a young college student named Ky that is living with his parents in his grandfather's house. His grandfather disappeared many years ago and no one ever found out what happened to him. Most of his family had tried to live in the house but all of them didn't stay in the house for long. Ky starts noticing strange things in the house and is a little freaked out. He's scared to go to the basement because he just feels something isn't right in the basement. Ky goes to sleep one night and a cat like creature wakes him up and has sex with him. He wants Ky to own him. Ky names this creature Lovely. Lovely is a demon and comes to Ky's bed nightly. He doesn't want Ky to see him but Ky sees him by daylight because Ky his pulled into his wardrobe. His clothes are being mysteriously shredded by something that is in the wardrobe. Apparently there is a demon living in his wardrobe that he names Feral. Feral and Lovely fight for quite a while and then both of them end up having sex with Ky. Ky falls asleep and hears Lovely and Feral arguing. He is told when he awakens that he needs to learn a spell for protection. Ky finds out he is a very powerful sorcerer like his grandfather but that he has much to learn still. He also finds out that most demons are good and not evil. Ky leaves and goes to check out the creature that he fears is chained in the basement. He finally comes into contact with the creature that is chained in the basement. He is a demon that was chained down there. Ky names him Magnificent Night. Ky finds out from Lovely that demons gain energy every time they have sex so he has sex with Magnificent Night because the demon is injured and weak The sex heals the demon and Ky feels drugged and falls asleep in Magnificent arms. When he leaves the basement he realizes it is the new moon outside. He was told by Feral and Lovely that a powerful demon would be coming to destroy them all. Ky is given a spell to help destroy this demon but he has to draw a circle of protection around the room and make sure the runes are placed in certain order. Ky's cell phone rings as he is drawing the circle. It is his parents coming home early. He asks them not to come into the house because that is where the evil demon is but he doesn't tell his parents that he is dealing with a demon. While Ky is finishing up his circle Lovely and Feral engage in fighting with the demon to keep her occupied so Ky can finish. Once Ky finishes his circle he manages to get the evil demon into the circle and she disappears. Lovely and Feral tell him she won't ever be back again where she went. Ky's parents come in about the times he passes out and his parents put him to bed. His parents have a discussion where they say they are worried about Ky because they think he is just like his grandfather and will suffer the same fate.
At the end of book four the author states that this is the conclusion of this story arc but that Ky and the gang will be back with all new stories which I am looking forward to reading.

Bearly Sleeping by Claire Ryann (Sierra Moon Shifters Book 6)
This is a review of Bearly Sleeping by Claire Ryann. It can be read as a standalone story or as part of the whole series. It is book 6 in the Sierra Moon Shifters series. Claire Ryann's writing has improved significantly since I first started reading her books. Her books are engaging and you don't want to put them down once you start.
We start out by meeting a bear shifter named Chelle. Chelle is a fairly new bear as she was only turned a few months ago. She is increasingly drawn to town to a specific area. She returns there almost nightly and she suspects the smell is coming from the local coffee shop until she gets closer and discovers that the smell is coming from a man that lives in a cabin in the area. Bear sightings were reported all over town and Josh (the bear shifter that Chelle is drawn to) fears that someone saw him as a bear until he learns that the bear is female. Chelle ventures closer to Josh's cabin and is spotted by one of the neighbors. She tries to get away but is cornered by Josh who insists that she shift back into a human before the police arrive. Chelle finally shifts. She accompanies Josh inside his house and they have both recognized that the other one is their fated mate and have wild passionate sex. Chelle wakes the next morning without her mate in the bed and she fears he ran off when she can't find him when in fact he went to the nearby coffee shop for coffee and pastries. Once Josh finds out Chelle has left, he goes searching for her. He finds her in her human form sitting out in the snow. He knows he needs to get her to safety so he seeks shelter in a cave. He collects wood and builds a fire to help keep them warm. They talk for a while before they end up having sex again. When they wake up they find out that they have been hibernating in the cave for two months. They return to Josh's cabin and have decided to make a live there. We find out Chelle is caring a cub and they get their happily after after.

Dark Alpha's Embrace by Donna Grant (A Reaper Novel)
This is a review of Dark Alpha's Embrace by Donna Grant. This is the first book my Donna Grant that I have read and am now a fan. I really enjoyed this story.
The story revolves around Kyran and River.
Kyran is a Dark Fae and also a reaper. The Reapers work for Death and assassinate the Fae who commit unspeakable acts against the other Fae.
River is a librarian with a gift to read all Fae languages. She is on a mission to find and retrieve all of the books her aunt had about the Fae. She puts up quite a fight to prevent Kyran and his friend from taking the books. She eventually makes a deal with them that they can take the books temporarily. She can read the languages that are extinct to the Fae so she is very valuable to them. The reason she has the gift she does is because they find out that she has Fae blood and that one person in each generation has the same gift to read the languages. However, all of the people in her family have been killed once they reach a certain age. The only reason River is still alive is because she has been hiding in plain sight and not drawing attention to herself. Kyran and a couple of other comes to River's apartment and they basically kidnap her and take her to their temporary headquarters.
Once River ends up at the temporary headquarters she eventually decides to help their librarian decode what the books that she cannot read say. They are looking into why the Dark Fae are killing half breeds (part human, part Fae) and are also hunting a Dark Fae named Bran that has managed to escape from the Netherworld.
Kyran finds out that River's family was given their gift by the Dark Fae. They are puzzled as to why the Dark Fae has been River's family for so many generations and why they are killing half breeds. They think that the information contained in the books only River can read may help them in their quest.
River finds out the news that she is pregnant with Kyran's child from Death. Death is helping her reapers. Kyran is elated with the news once he finds out.
The Reapers get caught in a trap of Bran's making but manage to fight their way out. Death pays a visit to Kyran's parents and tells his father to stop killing the descendants of River's family. He passes on the message to the other people working with him.
We end the novel with Kyran asking River to be his wife and Bran making plans to strike The Reapers again.
I recieved a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Jane's Melody by Ryan Winfield (Jane's Melody Book 1)
This is a review of Jane's Melody by Ryan Winfield.
We start out with Jane's daughter Melody's passing from a drug overdose. Jane is struggling with her daughter's death. She sees a young man place a coin on Melody's grave. She takes the coin and eventually goes in search of the young man. Eventually Jane finds him. He is named Caleb, is a musician and is homeless. She takes him home with her and allows him to stay with her provided he does her desperately needed landscaping. She thinks Caleb has a connection with her daughter Melody but she learns that Caleb knows very little about Melody. Jane and Caleb develop a romantic relationship but Jane knows it can't last because Caleb wants to go to Austin, TX to pursue his music dreams. He asks Jane to go with him but she refuses. Jane is also hung up on the age difference between her and Caleb because she's in her 40s and Caleb is in his 20s. This gives her another reason not to go to Austin.
Jane and Caleb's story had it's ups and downs. It was an emotional roller coaster for me. It made me laugh and cry and fall in love with them as they fell in love with each other . Their story spoke to me on so many levels and is a very sweet read.
As long as Mr. Winfield keeps writing books I will keep reading them.

The Flame by Christopher Rice (A Desire Exchange Novella) (A M/M/F menage romance)
This is a review of The Flame by Christopher Rice. It is a M/M/F menage romance.
This
was the first book I have read by Christopher Rice. This was his first foray into erotic romance. I really enjoyed
this book. If he sticks with this genre I will definitely read more
books by him. The characters were very well developed. I loved the
connection between them. Mr. Rice made me feel as if I was experiencing
every emotion that his characters were feeling. I love reading a book
and feeling like I have been sucked into the story. A major pet peeve of
mine is grammatical and spelling errors due to poor editing in any book
I read. I am pleased to say I did not notice any errors of this type in
this book. I was so blown away by the high quality writing in this book I highly recommend this book.

Her Beastly Stepbrother by Rachel Kenley
This is a review of Her Beastly Stepbrother by Rachel Kenley. This story focuses on a young woman named Belle and a man named Charles. They meet as children because Belle's father married Charles' mother. Belle is 12 when they meet and Charles is 16. Charles has scars on his face from a fire during an auto accident when he was a 5 years old in which his father was killed. Belle lost her mother to cancer at age 4. They bond over their losses of a parent. They talk for a while at the wedding. They decide to keep in touch via e-mail. The e-mails have large gaps in them. They seem disjointed and all over the place because they are totally random and jump from one thing to the next sometimes skipping years in between the e-mails.
Belle and Charles continue to keep in touch for many years through the emails. Belle wants to see Charles but he never wants her to see him. Belle eventually decides she has had enough of the treatment she was receiving from her father and stepmother because they wanted to control everything she did. So Belle decides to leave and embark on her own journey. She goes to the town where Charles lives. She stops at a coffee shop and ends up getting a job her first day in town working at the coffee shop. She doesn't have a phone number or address for him but goes to the gallery where he showcases his work exclusively. Charles is a very successful artist that makes glass sculptures. Belle manages to get his address from the gallery and goes to see him. Charles is shocked to see Belle on his doorstep. When she tells him where she is staying, he tells her that she will stay with him because the motel she is at is not safe.
The two eventually fall into bed with each other but Charles continues to fight his feelings because he doesn't want to feel the way he does about Belle. Belle dresses up and says she is going out with her friend. When Charles sees her outfit, he decides that Belle isn't going anywhere because she is his. He doesn't want another man to see her in that outfit. Charles finally admits his feelings to Belle and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
This was a short, sweet read and I would definitely recommend it.

The Ruin of Gabriel Ashleigh by K.J. Charles (M/M romance)
This is a review of the short story titled The Ruin of Gabriel Ashleigh by K.J. Charles. It is part of the A society of Gentleman series. It is a M/M romance.
We start out with a young man named Gabriel Ashleigh who wakes up hungover. We learn that he has gambled away everything that he owned (money, his house, etc). The house was a family house so his brother is very upset with him. Gabriel receives a note to summoning him to the residence of Francis Webster who is the man that he lost everything to gambling. Webster has Gabriel play cards with him to get his property back. Gabriel accepts the wager. They play and eventually Webster wants Gabriel to wager his body. The two men end up doing the deed. Gabriel finds out that Webster has been in love with him for 5 years but was afraid to approach him because of bad blood with Gabriel's brother. The two decide to continue to see each other.
Overall, I would not recommend this book. I found the author's writing very hackneyed and stilted. There were lots of very wordy descriptions. The writing went off on long rambling tangents that the story really didn't need.

Unwelcome (Archangel Academy Book 2) by Michael Griffo (M/M Romance)
This is a review of Unwelcome by Michael Griffo. This is book 2 of the
Archangel Academy trilogy. It is a M/M romance. It is technically
supposed to be a young adult novel but I don't recommend it for anyone
under 17 due to some sexual content and violence. This tale once again follows the lives of water vampires Michael and Ronan.
In this book we meet David Zachary. David Zachary is the king of the regular vampires (not the water vampires). Ronan recognizes him and knows who he is because of a past relationship between David and Ronan's mother Edwige. Ronan does not trust him and knows that David had ulterior motives. We find out that David's ulterior motive is to destroy the water vampires and to find and destroy The Well which is the source of life for the water vampires.
We see a tangled web of lies and insecurity throughout this book.Michael is having doubts throughout the story about Ronan because he knows Ronan is keeping secrets from him and disappearing on mysterious trips. He doesn't really trust him because of all of the secrets. Ronan feels like he is protecting Michael by not telling him the truth. The web of lies the Ronan has been spinning eventually unravels and Michael finds out everything.
Michael also discovers that his father is one of Them (the regular vampires). He gets into a huge fight with his father and decides he never wants to see him again when he is shown a vision that shows his father killing his mother.
We also see the introduction of Saoirse in this book. Saoirse is the human sister of Ronan and Ciaran. Saoirse ends up getting kidnapped and Michael saves her with the help of Phaedra (a being that can turn into fog and has been protecting Michael). Saoirse has a big secret that is revealed that tells of her origins.
David sends someone to attempt to destroy The Well but he fails and is ripped apart because The Well is protecting itself and won't let anyone near it that shouldn't be there.A new era of evil has started at Archangel Academy with the evolution of David Zachary into a new being thanks to the angel Zachriel. We are left with the question of will the young men of Archangel Academy and the water vampires be able to defeat this evil and save themselves? This is a question sure to be answered in the third and final book.

A New Reviewer
Let's welcome my good friend Debra also known as Gidgetrabbit03 to The Heart of a Bookworm blog. Debra will be helping out and posting her own reviews so we can get a larger variety of books out to you!
Unnatural (Archangel Academy Book 1) by Michael Griffo (M/M romance)
This is a review of Unnatural by Michael Griffo. This is book 1 of the Archangel Academy trilogy. It is a M/M romance. It is technically supposed to be a young adult novel but I don't recommend it for anyone under 17 due to some sexual content and violence. Michael is one of our main characters and starts out in a small town in Nebraska where he doesn't have many friends and is often a victim of bullies. Michael is miserable and always wants to escape his small town. Michael's mother commits suicide and Michael finally has his chance to leave his small town as his father wants him to come back to England to attend Archangel Academy. When Michael was a very young child his mother fled from England back to the states with him in order to get him away from his father. Archangel Academy is an exclusive all boys boarding school in England in the little town of Eden. All is not as it seems at Archangel Academy though.
Michael meets a young man named Ronan that he is attracted to shortly after arriving on campus. He asks his room mate if he knows of him and finds out that the two are half-brothers. Michael doesn't know it but Ronan is a water vampire. There are two types of vampires. You have your regular vampires who are portrayed as being evil and sadistic and then there is the water vampires. The water vampires only feed once a month and must travel to an ancient well located in an underground cave after they feed to join their souls with The Well. The water vampires are revealed to be descendants of the citizens of the lost city of Atlantis. They have the ability to swim underwater without it affecting their breathing, have webbed appendages, etc. when they transform. Ronan receives a blessing from the Well that Michael is supposed to be his mate. He asks Michael if he would give up his human life to become immortal and Michael tells him he would if it meant that they could stay together forever. Michael does not know Ronan is a water vampire at this time. Ronan ends up changing Michael into a vampire and Michael has a bit of a meltdown. Nakano is a regular vampire and Ronan's ex-boyfriend. He is very jealous of the relationship between Michael and Ronan. He wants Michael to join their side against the water vampires at the behest of his master. Ultimately Michael decides not to join the regular vampires and instead returns to Ronan.
There are also several murders in this tale but to go into too much detail about them would ruin the arc of the story. There is a lot going on in this book so I will end this review here so I don't give away too much of the story. I will post reviews of the other two books in this series as soon as I finish them.

There are also several murders in this tale but to go into too much detail about them would ruin the arc of the story. There is a lot going on in this book so I will end this review here so I don't give away too much of the story. I will post reviews of the other two books in this series as soon as I finish them.

Ten Days in a Mad House by Nellie Bly (Non-Fiction)

Blind Faith by N.R.Walker (M/M Romance)
This is a review of Blind Faith by N.R. Walker. This is a M/M romance. This tells the story of
Isaac Brannigan and Carter Reece. Issac is a blind schoolteacher at a school for the disabled. Carter is a veternarian. He meets Issac when he takes over the vet practice for a retiring vet. He starts getting to know Issac and starts falling in love with him. He realizes that Issac is scared to let another guide dog into his life because he supposedly wants to maintain his independece when he is actually afraid to open his heart again to people or animals and love again because he is afraid of being left alone. Eventaully Issac does get another guide dog and the dog ends up saving Issac's life and Issac realizes how lucky he is that she saved him and his heart slowly opens to love again. His relationship with Carter is full of it's ups and downs along the way too.
Sometimes you just find one of those rare books that are just an emotional roller coaster from the beginning to the end and just leave you in stunned silence. Blind Faith by N.R. Walker was one of those books for me! There were spots in this book where I felt like my heart was breaking right along with the characters in this book. N.R. Walker was a new author for me and I must say this book was quite a ride. Male/Male romance is one of my favorite generes just because the stories seem more real and raw to me and this was no exception. I loved this book! I am definitely experiencing a total book hangover from this one.

Howling Passion (Book 1 Passion Moon Series) by Renee Jordan
This is my review of Howling Passion, book 1 of the Passion Moon series by Renee Jordan. The
writing started off well and with promise but by the time I reached
around the 30% mark the story just kind of fell flat for me. I couldn't
even bring myself to finish it. The story was moving along at a decent
pace and suddenly we find our main character obsessing over a man she
just met, falling into bed with him within hours of meeting him, and
carrying on the most ridiculous dialogue ever during sex with him. That
is really what killed the story for me.
The Heir by Keira Cass
This is the followup to the Selection Trilogy by Keira Cass. It follows the daughter of Maxon and America as she has her own selection. I loved it just as much as
the original series. So far my favorites in the race to win Eadlynn's
heart are Henri and Kile. I think I really want her to pick one of them.
With Kile, she never realized the potential for a relationship even
though she grew up around him. She never really cared much for him until
she started getting to know him. Even though there is a language
barrier with Henri, Eadlynn seems to genuinely care about him despite
being unable to communicate very well. That also brings us to Henri's
translator, Erik. It seems like Eadlynn is developing feelings for him
and he for her as well even though he isn't officially in the running
for her heart. I kind of want her to make the unconventional choice and
go with Erik. I really am torn about who she should pick and at this
point I think Eadlynn is torn too since she has feelings for more than
one of these men. I can't wait for the next book in this series to come
out and hope it won't be a long wait!
Guarding January by Sean Michael (M/M romance)
This is my review of Guarding January by Sean Michael. I love all of Sean Michael's books and I was not disappointed by this one. I absolutely loved this story. It's very sweet. My heart broke a few times right along with the LJ/Jeff. He overcame so much to finally discover who he really was and his love for Rye and Rye's love for him is what made him whole in the end. I am sorry for such a short review on this one but there isn't much I can say about this one without giving away the story.
Reap the Wind by Karen Chance
This is my review of Reap the Wind. This is the 7th book in the Cassandra Palmer series. Karen Chance has
definitely delivered once again with this book! Cassie is the Phythia. Basically she's a supernatural time traveling seer. It's chock full of demons, vampires, mages and just about every other kind of supernatural creature you can imagine. Non stop action all the
way through as is normal for a Cassie Palmer story. There is A LOT going
on in this story. I loved it as always. The only thing I was
disappointed by in this book was that Cassie has not yet saved John Pritkin.
Pritkin is a war mage and is also part incubus. He is also Cassie's best friend and mentor and has been able to share energy with her on occasion. Cassie is really quite lost without Pritkin. I secretly think she is in love with him and he with her. Pritkin's father is a demon that is also an incubus. He can't stand Cassie and must unite with her in order to save his son. Pritkin's soul was cursed to cycle back through each era of his life only once and if Cassie and Rosier(Pritkin's father) can't save him they will both lose him forever. Pritkin is my absolute favorite character in this series (besides
Cassie) so I really want Cassie to be able to save him. I definitely
think that those two should end up together. I never have really liked
Mircea who is a very powerful master vampire who just wants Cassie for her power so he can take a hike for all I care. I'm Team Pritkin all the
way! I can't wait for the next book in this series even though we have
to wait quite a while for it. If you haven't read any of the Cassie
Palmer books, I say run to the nearest bookstore and find all of them!
Hear No Evil by Vivian Wood
This book is book 3 of the Alpha Guardians series by Vivian Wood. This is by far my favorite book in this series. The
characters and plot are both very well developed and mostly free from
errors. The Alpha Guardians have been tasked with helping protect New Orleans from evil.
This book tells the story of Gabriel and Cassie. Gabriel is a very powerful bear shifter, magician, and Alpha Guardian. Cassie is a vessel of the Oracle and she sees visions that the Oracle has granted her and is able to access the power of the Oracle when the Oracle sees fit to allow her to do so. Cassie is also the Second Light. Gabriel saves Cassie from Pere Mal who has been holding her hostage for several years and instantly recognizes that she is his mate. Eventually Cassie becomes pregnant and the Oracle reveals to Gabriel that his child will be the next vessel for the Oracle. Without giving away too much of the story, Pere Mal ends up kidnapping Cassie once again so it is up to Gabriel to save Cassie from the clutches of the evil Pere Mal when he kidnaps Cassie. He saves Cassie and their unborn child from the clutches of Pere Mal.

Dragon Heart/Dragon Magic by James D. Horton
This review is about the novels Dragon Heart & Dragon Magic by James D. Horton. This is two books in one volume so I have chosen to review it as one book instead of reviewing each book individually. This was the first book I have ever read by James D. Horton and I am definitely a fan now. I absolutely loved it. I could not put it down once I started it.
I loved this book! It was very well written too. My only complaint is I wanted it to be longer!
Elise Ddraig is a dragon shifter that is the Chosen One. She hasn't figured out how to channel her power as the Chosen One yet but she learns. She also has some interesting companions on this journey. There is her mentor Remy, her bodyguard Lou, two wolf shifters named Rose and Rory, and the voices of 7 ancient ones in her head. The ride is wild and crazy and involves zombies and a necromancer but I don't want to give any of the story away on this one so you won't find any spoilers here. The action in the book moves along at a steady pace. The ancients kind of get on my nerves a little bit because they all seem to have attitude problems but once Elise finally embraces their power they start to seem more likeable. Elise really starts to discover who she is once she embraces the power of the ancients..

Wild Wolf By James D. Horton
This is definitely another
winner from James D. Horton. This is a story about 2 werewolves named
Luke and Dakota. In the beginning of this story, Dakota finds herself in
a bit of trouble where she is being chased through a bad part of town by some goons with bad intentions. Luke rescues her from the danger. Dakota is campaigning trying to improve a bad part of town. Luke feels she is just a spoiled little rich girl. He shows her through a building where homeless children are hiding out. Luke has been helping provide for these children. Dakota is appalled at the conditions the children are living in but still wants to help but Luke tells her a petition won't change anything.
Dakota instantly feels a connection with Luke and their relationship progresses from there. Dakota does not remember that she is a werewolf. Luke has a connection to Dakota's father that she is unaware of. As Luke tells the story to her, she starts remembering details of her life as a small child and even shifts into a werewolf. Dakota witnessed a horrific crime as a child and it caused her to repress her werewolf nature. Danger comes lurking because Luke is being hunted by shifters. The shifters that are hunting Luke want to stop him because he wants to stop the research that they are conducting. The research being conducted is through the company Dakota's father used to own. Dakota sold the company once she came of age. Dakota ends up saving Luke from the shifters hunting him. Dakota and Luke go on the run to escape the danger and run into a few surprises along the way. They finally find where they belong when Luke returns to his home pack. He had been exiled by his father who is no dead and he is accepted back into the pack and so is Dakota. Dakota and Luke now have backup to face whatever is really going on with her father's company that she sold. I definitely hope that there is another book in this series so we can find out more of Dakota's and Luke's story and find out the real truth.

Claimed by the Bear by Sennah Tate

Unions between witches and shifters are taboo. Ashley is mentoring a young witch whose mate just happens to be a tiger shifter. Ashley has a past history with this shifter so she doesn't really like him. She knows that in order to pass the test that her fellow witches have concocted that she needs to recharge her magic. The witches are able to recharge their power levels through sex. Ashley goes on a hunt to find someone she can use to recharge her magic and she runs into Callan. Callan had saved Ashley from a near disaster at a construction site earlier that day and she was surprised to meet him in a bar. They end up going home together and before they can have full blown sex, Ashley backs out but she went far enough with Callan where she was able to recharge her magic.
Once Ashley figures out that Callan is a shifter, she wants nothing further to do with him. Since a romantic relationship between a witch and a shifter is taboo so it takes some work on Callan's part to convince Ashley that they should be together. Callan's bear instantly recognized Ashley as his mate and he does finally convince Ashley to give them a chance.
The war between the shifters and witches is sure to be continued in the next book since that story feels like it is just getting started.

Bear Prince by Emma Alisyn & Danae Ashe
This is my review of the title Bear Prince by Emma Alisyn and Danae Ashe. This is the story of Andrei and Hannah. Andrei is a bear shifter and
also a prince of a country called Casakraine where the royal family are bear shifters. Andrei is next in line to become the ruler or Casakraine. Hannah is am American ballerina. She is also from an Amish type community that doesn't use technology and uses the horse and buggy as their primary mode of transportation. Hannah is very passionate about dance and has left home to obtain a college education and also attempt to become a ballerina.
Andrei first notices Hannah as she is dancing in the street for money. He wants her contact information so he follows her and ends up saving her from the creepy manager of the apartment complex where she lives. Andrei suffers from migraine headaches which are explained as being a side effect of being a shifter. He had the beginnings of a migraine already and ends up with a full blown migraine in part because of his fight with the manager of the apartment complex while he is defending Hannah's honor. Hannah feels responsible for him so she lets him sleep on her couch for a couple of days. The two end up spending lots of time together because Andrei is hiding from his guards and doesn't want to leave. He essentially moves in with Hannah. His bear ends up recognizing Hannah as his mate. Andrei does return to his country as the request of his mother, the queen. The queen ends up putting Andrei under house arrest. Andre becomes livid because he can't get to his mate. Eventually Hannah goes to Andrei's country after the queen fetches her. She has big news to share with Andrei. She stays for a little and slowly starts settling into her new life until an unexpected event makes her realize she misses home. Hannah flees the country and returns home to her parents without telling anyone. Andrei follows her and they are reunited and delivers some stunning news that I never expected. I felt that their were a couple of unresolved issues in this book but can only hope that they are resolved in a future book.
